Easy Gas Learner is for use by Level 3 Gas/Plumbing students as part of supervised training. The records, calculations and notices produced here are practice documents only. They are not valid Gas Safety records, Landlord Gas Safety Records, or Warning Notices for the purposes of GS(I&U)R 1998. Any official document must be issued by a Gas Safe registered operative competent for the category of work. All PDF outputs from this app are watermarked "For Educational Purposes Only" to make this clear on every document produced.

What this app is

Easy Gas Learner is a suite of offline training tools for Level 3 Gas/Plumbing students . It produces practice records, calculations and notices for use under the supervision of a Gas Safe registered engineer, tutor or assessor. Tap a tile on the home screen to open a tool. Each tool has its own built-in guide — tap the ? button inside any tool to open it.

Tools included

Test & Purge — tightness testing and purging calculations to IGEM/UP/1B Edition 4.
Gas Rate — gas rate and heat input calculator for natural gas and LPG.
Service Record — gas appliance service and maintenance record.
Landlord's Record — landlord gas safety record (GSIUR 1998 Reg. 36).
Warning Notice — unsafe situations notice per IGEM/G/11 GIUSP.

Data Privacy

All information entered in any tool remains solely on your device and is not sent to any server or third party. Auto-save uses your browser's local storage. Nothing is shared unless you choose to send a saved PDF yourself.

Data Backup

Your data lives only on this device. To protect against device loss, you can export all saved data as a single JSON file, and import it back later or onto another device.

Note: Importing will overwrite any existing data in the tools with the same keys. The backup file is a plain text JSON file — you can store it in cloud storage, email it to yourself, or keep it on a USB stick.

These tools are provided as a training aid to help Level 3 Gas/Plumbing students practise producing records, calculations and notices for domestic gas installations. They do not replace formal certification, the judgement of a Gas Safe registered engineer, or the procedures set out in the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 (as amended) and applicable standards. All practical work and any document intended for real-world use must be assessed and issued by a Gas Safe registered operative. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the author accepts no liability for any error, omission, or any direct or indirect loss or damage arising from use of these tools or reliance on their output.
